At Somewhere—Something, our roots in architecture and music colour the way we perceive the world and highlight the nuances of design.
We craft visual identities to tell brand stories for people and small businesses.
While our output may vary, our aim is always to capture the unique essence of each project and client with care, honesty, and clarity.
Bruno Munari wrote in Design and Visual Communication that everything we see communicates something. While this is true and central to our work, beyond vision our sensory encounters and interactions also affect our understanding of the world, and in turn, our identities.
Eating, working, getting lost in music, chillin’ out, watching the seasons change, claiming spaces as our own, even drifting through moments of emptiness—these are all threads in the chaotic tapestry of existence. Each of us weaves our own pattern, shaped by what we need and desire in any given moment.
We believe that the environments we inhabit, online and off, shape who we are and how we live, work, and think. They are crucial to crafting value and finding meaning in everyday life—there's a certain satisfaction in choosing what to wear, what to use, and where to spend our time.
As an independent design practice, we continue an ongoing conversation with the world and with each other. In our work, we search for a unique truth and express it through meaningful design that connects and brings joy.
And within that joy lies a question (or two):
Where do businesses fit into this ever-evolving landscape of life?
How should the bond between business and consumer evolve in the years ahead?
This perspective reveals a world where the interconnectedness of societies—through systems, networks, infrastructures, and collaborations—comes into sharp focus.
The uniqueness of each of our experiences makes it all so compelling.
We are interested in principles of circular economies, systems thinking and various communication frequencies to pursue solutions to the challenges of present and future living.
We are also always on the lookout for what binds us together, whether it’s within our studio culture or through interactions with the people we work with.
There’s so much to explore, and we’re just getting started.
We hope you enjoy the ride!
